Jinzhou City is located in the southwest of Liaoning Province, serving as a transportation hub connecting Northeast China and North China, and is the central city of the western Liaoning region. The total area of the city is 10300 square kilometers, with 3 districts (Guta District, Linghe District, Taihe District), 2 counties (Heishan County, Yixian County), and 2 county-level cities (Linghai City, Beizhen City) under its jurisdiction, and a permanent population of 2.665 million people (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the city will reach 120.53 billion yuan.
Jinzhou is an important industrial base and central city in western Liaoning, known as the "Liaoxi Corridor" and "Hero City". It was the main battlefield of the Liaoshen Campaign, a turning point in the Northeast Liberation War, and an important node city in the Bohai Economic Circle.
