Qinhuangdao City is located in the northeast of Hebei Province and is a famous coastal tourist city and important port city in northern China. The total area of the city is 7802 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 4 districts (Haigang District, Shanhaiguan District, Beidaihe District, Funing District), 2 counties (Changli County, Lulong County), and 1 autonomous county (Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County), with a permanent population of 3.1343 million people (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the city will reach 190.95 billion yuan, with the economy dominated by tourism, port logistics, equipment manufacturing, and modern agriculture.
Qinhuangdao is one of the first coastal open cities in China and an important node city for the coordinated development of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, known as the "backyard of Beijing and Tianjin".
